- Edward A. Ludwig - The death of Edward A. Ludwig, 74, 54 Peppler St., Waterloo, occurred at the K-W Hospital yesterday. He had been ill six weeks. The son of the late Michael Ludwig and Katherine Eisenbach, he was born in Peel Township, April 11, 1874. A moulder, he worked at the Waterloo Foundry for 20 years, and more recently was employed by the Dominion Rubber Co. Ltd., and Joseph E. Seagram and Sons, Ltd., before retiring. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, the Germania Lodge, I.O.O.F. Waterloo and Macabees Lodge, Detroit. His marriage to the former Mary Betz, who survives, took place in Elmira in 1901. Surviving besides his widow, are one brother, Charles, Kitchener; and three sisters, Mrs. Clara Schippling, Mrs. Jacob Fries, and Mrs. Walter Underwood, all of Kitchener. One sister and two brothers predeceased him. The body will rest at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, until Friday noon, when removal will be made to St. John's Lutheran Church where the service will be held at 2: 30 pm. Friends are asked to pay their respects prior to the service. Interment will be made in the Waterloo Mt. Hope Cemetery, Rev. A.L. Conrad will officiate.
