  Sarah Clemens, "the eldest, was born December 17th, 1844. She is married to D. H. McKersie, a fireman and engineer. They reside in Detroit, Michigan, and have three children". Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ______________ Mrs. Sarah McKersie Mrs. Sarah McKersie, 98, died unexpectedly yesterday after a long illness, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Alice M. Armstrong, 247 Moy avenue. She was born in Hespeler, Ont., and lived in St. Thomas before moving to live with her daughter here five years ago. Her husband, David, died 14 years ago. She was a member of Central United Church. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Edward Scofield and Mrs. Ethel Russell of Detroit, Mrs. Allen Menzel of Virginia and Mrs. Armstrong with whom she lived. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Morris Funeral Chapel, 1624 Wyandotte street east, with Rev. M. C. Parr officiating. Interment will be in Roseland Park Cemetery, Royal Oak, Mich.
