  Benjamin D. Shantz, "was born August 20th, 1833. He was married to Elizabeth Nahrgang who was born December 12th, 1836, and died June 4th, 1894. They resided in Wadsworth, Michigan, where he died January 15th, 1889, leaving a family of twelve children" Eby, Ezra E. (1895).
