- Franz Walz - Franz Walz, well known Waterloo Citizen, passed away at his home on Allen Street this morning after a lingering illness. The late Mr. Walz, who has been in failing health for some time, had been confined to his bed only since last Sunday. He was aged 71 years, 4 months and 7 days, being born in Baden, Germany on June 22, 1855. Deceased was a valuable employee of Seagram's and was also a member of the St. Boniface Society and of St. Louis Church. Surviving are his sorrowing wife and eight children. They are Mrs. Peter Hergott, Waterloo, Fred of Waterloo, Alvin of Kitchener, Mrs. Carl Marks of Waterloo, Frank of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Thomas Charlton of Waterloo and Carl and Florence at home. There also survive 14 grandchildren.
