- Obituary for Violet May Mercer (Clemens)
Passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 22, 2007, at the age of 60. Violet is the beloved wife of Charles Mercer, loving mother of Terry, and dear grandmother of Terri-Lynn. Predeceased by her parents, Louise and Gerald Clemens. She will be forever missed by her sister, brothers and their families, as well as by Charlie's large extended family. Violet will always be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit.
Violet's life and memory will be honoured at a Memorial Service to be held at St. James' Anglican Church, 520 Ellis Road, Cambridge, on Saturday, January 27th at 11 a.m.
The family wishes to thank the Medical Daycare staff of Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care over the past 2 years. Gratitude also goes to the nursing staff of the Bayshore Home Health Nursing Agency. Special thanks to nurse Bonnie for her recent daily visits, and the support and care she offered to Violet and her family. An extra special thank you to Father George. His almost daily presence over many weeks brought enormous comfort to Violet on her journey. The family wishes to thank Father George for his support. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Medical Daycare, Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation or to St. James' Anglican Church would be greatly appreciated by the family and can be made through the Lounsbury Funeral Home.
