  BIRSS, Ruth Julia Passed away peacefully, after a valiant struggle at St. Raphael's Nursing Home, Kitchener, on Friday, November 11th, 1988. Mrs. Birss in her 69th year and formerly of 13-565 Belmont Avenue West, Kitchener. Born in Wellesley, Ontario and was a member of Parkminster United Church, Waterloo. Beloved wife of William Hugh Birss and dear mother of Judy Padfield of Kitchener, Carolyn (Cuddy) Ascah and her husband Dana of Waterloo, Charolotte Birss and her spouse A. J. Alberti and Louise Birss and her spouse Alex McDougall all of Toronto. Also survived by her grandchildren; Christopher and Trevor Padfield, Megan and Lindsay Ascah and Felicia Alberti. Lovingly remembered by her sister, Mrs. Charolotte White and her husband Andrew of Toronto. Predeceased by her parents, Caroline and William Forler, sisters Esther Schaaf, Helen Alles and brothers Howard and Walter Forler. Mrs. Birss family will receive friends, at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Saturday, November 12 (today), 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Servive in the chapel of the funeral home, on Monday, at 1: 30 p.m. Reverand John Gertridge officiating.
