  LICHTY: Norman formerly of Grand Bend Norman Lichty passed away peacefully at Chartwell Parkhill on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, formerly of Grand Bend at the age of 92. Loving husband of the late Kathleen (Berdux) Lichty. Beloved father of Patricia Heipel and her husband Keith of Grand Bend. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Allan and Shirley Lichty, Wilma Kelterborn, Emmeline and John Roes, and Helen Ariss. Predeceased by parents, Jacob and Mary (Schmidt) Lichty, sisters Frieda, Irene, Edith, Marie, and Carol and brothers Edward, Earl, Jake, Ken, and Larry. Norman was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 60 years. He was a true gentleman who enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. A special thanks to Dr. Lock and the outstanding staff at the Chartwell Parkhill for their amazing care, compassion, and support. A memorial service will be held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, EXETER on Monday, December 9th at 11 AM, with Pastor Nadine Schroeder-Kranz officiating. Cremation with interment Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo at a later date. A Masonic Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:45 AM under the auspices of Wilmot Lodge, No. 318 A.F. & A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
