(Marie) - At the K-W Hospital on Friday, Sept. 14, 1973, after a lengthy illness, Marie Anna Ziegler, of 81 Forest Hill Drive, Kitchener, age 61 years, born in Kitchener, a daughter of Mrs. Christina Ziegler of Kitchener and the late Henry Ziegler who predeceased her in 1962; a lifelong resident of the Twin Cities, a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and the Kiwani-queens; wife of John V. Wittig; mother of Maryan (Mrs. James Lynch) of Kitchener, Karen (Mrs. Anthony Wren) of London, Linda (Mrs. David Jolliffe) of Windsor and Jane at home; sister of Robert Ziegler, Elizabeth (Mrs. Frederick Strome) and Florence (Mrs. Bruce Redpath) all of Kitchener and Margaret (Mrs. William Loker) of Willowdale; grandmother of Jeffrey Wren and Tyrone and Maureen Lynch. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. West, Kitchener, after noon on Sunday. A private committal service will be held at the funeral home on Monday followed by a memorial service at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. F.W. Zink officiating.
