    • Christian S. Shantz, "was born July 4th, 1838. In November, 1860, he was married to Nancy Steiner who was born September 11th, 1839, and died May 16th, 1886. They resided in Wilmot Township, north of Baden, where she died. He is still residing on his farm.."
