- Man Killed Near Petersburg
A retired Waterloo man was killed last Tuesday afternoon when the truck he was driving collided with a train near Petersburg.
Dead is Edwin Brutzki, 65.
He was driving his pickup along Waterloo County Road 6, about one-half mile north of Highway 7 and 8 at Petersburg when the mishap occurred.
No one was injured on the train
Police said the truck was completely demolished. One spectator described it as crumpled like a piece of tissue paper.
Damage to the train was estimated by CNR officials at about $1,000.
A post mortem was performed last Wednesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Kitchener.
