  HOFSTETTER MRS. WALTER Mrs. Walter Hofstetter, 91, formerly of Plattsville, Ont., died Saturday at Freeport Hospital, Kitchener. The former Phoebe Snyder, she was the daughter of the late John Snyder and Isabel Cassel and was a member of Plattsville United Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter, in 1960. She is survived by seven sons, Harold, of RR 2 Petersburg, Floyd, of New Hamburg, Harry, John, Layton, and Glenn, all of Plattsville, and Reid, of RR 4 Bright; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Ruby) Ament, of Linwood, and Mrs. Gilbert (Jane) Ross, of Woodstock; 31 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Earl; two daughters, Helen and Mrs. Allen (Marjory) Littlejohn; two brothers and two sisters. Friends were received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, New Hamburg Chapel until noon, August 4 when removal was made to Plattsville United Church for a funeral service at 2 p.m. with Rev.
