  MARTIN, Ira Ira R. Martin of RR#1 Wingham, died peacefully at his home on Monday, October 28, 2013, at the age of 78. Ira was the husband of Lena Martin. Father of Irene Martin, Elam and Barbara Martin of RR#1 Wingham, Mary and Menno W. Hoover of RR#1 Bluevale, Martha and Josiah Bauman of RR#1 Bruce Mines, Levi and Susie Martin of RR#1 Wingham and Salema and Stephen Martin of RR#1 Wroxeter. Also survived by his four brothers - Leander, Joshua, George and Cyrus Martin, his sister Lydian Martin, his 29 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his first wife Salema (Brubacher) Martin, two sons and one brother. Viewing to be at his residence from 6: 00 to 8: 00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29 and 8: 30 to 11: 00 a.m. and 1: 00 to 4: 00 p.m. (Standard Time) on Wednesday, October 30. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, October 31 at 8: 30 a.m. EST from Ira's home, thence to the Wroxeter Orthodox Mennonite Meeting House for burial and further services. Schimanski Family Funeral Home (519-335-6510) entrusted with the arrangements.
