  George M. Fisher - George M. Fisher of 78 Erb St. E., Waterloo, died Tuesday at K-W Hospital after a brief illness. He was 83. Born in Kincardine, Nov. 7, 1886, he lived in Waterloo most of his life. He was employed at Mutual Life Assurance Co., Waterloo, for 48 years before his retirement in 1951. He was a member of First United Church, Waterloo. His first wife, the former Frieda Kaufman, his second wife, the former Ella Knechtel, two sons, George Jr., and Munro, and one brother, predeceased him. Surviving are his third wife, the former Margaret Knechtel, three sons, Miller of Boston, Mass., James of RR 1, St. Agatha, and Mark of Ancaster; four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Grierson of Waterloo, Mrs. Wilfrid (Helen) Patterson and Jean, both of Kitchener, and Mrs. N.G. (Miriam) Needham of Whitehorse, Yukon; one sister, Rubie of Kitchener; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home after 7 pm today where a funeral service will be conducted Friday at 2 pm by Rev. R.H. McColl and Rev. R.R. Connor, both of First United church.
