    • Shantz, Norman S., son of John and Mary (Snyder) Shantz, was born near Kitchener, Ont., Dec. 5, 1876; died at the home of his son near Markham, Ont., Dec. 27, 1967; aged 91 y. 22 d. He was married to Elmina Weber, who died Sept. 12, 1930. Surviving are 4 children (Mahlon, Orval, Seleda-Mrs. Dan Steckle, and Elam), 19 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, one brother (Amsey) and one sister (Mrs. Mary Ann Martin). One daughter (Sylvia), 2 brothers, and 4 sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Preston Church, where funeral services were held Dec. 30, with Rufus Jutzi and Emerson McDowell officiating; interment in East End Church Cemetery, Kitchener.
