- Jacob Niergarth
A native and life-long resident of Waterloo, Jacob E. Niergarth, 79, of 61 William St West, died today at his home after a lengthy illness.
Born May 20, 1879, a son of the late Christian Niergarth and Susannah Hause, he was a moulder for the Waterloo Manufacturing Company and the Philip Gies Foundry until he retired 12 years ago.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo. Survivors include his wife, the former Emma Toletzki; one son, Howard of Kitchener; one daughter, Mrs. John (Lorraine) Lauman of Kithener; and three grandchildren. One daughter, Alice, died in 1953. and he was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.
The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, where funeral will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. Rev. A. L. Conrad will officiate. Burial will be in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery.
