- WOODS, Patrick Joseph - On Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Cambridge in his 87th year. Predeceased by his first wife, Edith of 53 years (1993). Survived by his wife, Helen Woods. Loving father of Bill and his wife Dorothe of Niagara Falls and David of Philadelphia. Fondly remembered by granddaughters, Laura and Jennifer; grandson, Jonathan and his wife Mellissa and great-grandson, Cameron, all of Niagara Falls. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Elsie Woods and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers, George, Bob and Jack and sister, May. He will be sadly missed by many friends. Born in 1920 in Ireland, Pat immigrated to Canada in 1922. He was raised in Hespeler, Ontario and served in the Canadian Armed Forces in the Second World War. Upon his return home he managed Woods Transport Hespeler Ltd. He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, was a Shriner and proud of his 53 years of perfect attendance as a Rotarian. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to friends Mary and John and Oliver and Ann, as well as all the staff at St. Luke's for their continuous support and kindness to our Dad. In accordance with Pat's wishes, cremation has taken place with a private burial to be held at a later date. In memoriam donations made to a children's charity of choice would be appreciated by the family and may be made through Lounsbury Funeral Home . "Oh gosh", we will miss you. Rest in peace.
