  BECHTHOLD, Florence - Mrs. Florence Bechthold, age 98, formerly of Stratford passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Alliston on Monday, June 23, 2008. Born in Waterloo, daughter of the late George Hahn and the former Maria Bowman. Florence trained as a nurse at K-W Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of Jubilee Christian Fellowship Church in Stratford. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred John Bechthold whom she married in Waterloo on October 18, 1939 and who predeceased her on February 17, 1999. Loving mother of Carol Sandra Arnott and her husband Pastor John Arnott of Caledon. Cherished grandmother of Robert John Tanner of Melbourne, Australia, Michael William Tanner of Stratford, Lori Lawlor of Birmingham, England and Vicki Arnott of Dallas, Texas. Great-grandmother of Ricky, Nicholas, Jessica, Jamie and Jaclyn. Dear sister-in-law of Ruby Bechthold. Predeceased by brothers, Gordon and Lloyd; sisters, Verna, Alberta and Edna. Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home , 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday June 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Jubilee Christian Fellowship Church on Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Avondale Cemetery.
