  Mrs. Melvin S. Voegtle: 53 of 372 Queen Street South, died today at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Waterloo, her maiden name was Catherine Thomas, daughter of the late Ezra Thomas. Her mother Mrs. Katie Frey resides in Waterloo. Her marriage to Melvin Voegtle took place in 1920. Surviving besides her husband and mother are three sons, Donald, Melvin and Robert Voegtle all of Kitchener, two daughters Mrs. Rudolph (Kathleen) Yoworski and Mrs. Stanley (Norma) Wilfort both of Kitchener. One brother Arthur Thomas of Waterloo; two sisters Miss Lillian Thomas of Kitchener and Mrs. Eric Merkel of St Jocobs and 14 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted Friday at Two pm with service at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home. Rev. J.H.Getz Paster of Calvary Evangelican UB Church will conduct the sevice.
