  ALDER, Samuel - Peacefully, on Saturday, December 1, 2007, at Lisaard House, Cambridge, "Sam" Alder, in his 78th year, of Elmira. Beloved husband of Alma (Dickson) Alder for almost 50 years. Dear father of Roy of Port Burwell, Elizabeth and Clark Reichert, Russell and Sandra all of Waterloo, Mark and Kyoko of Japan, Matthew and Rita of Kitchener. Also lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren, two brothers and nine sisters. Sam was born on December 22, 1929 in Switzerland and is predeceased by his parents, Nicklaus and Alice (Carbenese) Alder. At Sam's request, cremation has taken place. The family will receive their friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home , Elmira for a memorial visitation on Tuesday evening, December 4th from 7-9 p.m. A family memorial service will take place with interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. The members of Galt Masonic Lodge No. 257 A.F. and A.M. will assemble for a memorial service on Tuesday evening at 6: 30 p.m. at the funeral home.
