  Jared Hammacher, "is married and resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he is engaged as a carpenter. His family consists of one daughter, but her name together with that of her mother were not received" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. _______________________________ In the 1851 Census of Waterloo Township Jared is not mentioned but a daugther Janet is mention in the same position that Jared should have been. It it posssible that the census mixed up this and that Janet and Jared are the same person?
