  BARWELL - John Thomas called home to be with his Lord on Friday, January 13th, 1989 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital formerly of Golden Years Retirement Lodge in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Minshall). Loving father of Dorothy Davidson of Chatham and Ruth and Peter Oprel of Kitchener. Dear brother of Charles of Cambridge and Emily Kidd of Dundas. Loving grandfather of Judi, Bruce and his wife Sandee, Randy and his wife Marion all of Chatham, Geoffrey and his wife Janette of Cambridge and Gary of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents and 2 brothers Albert and James and son-in-law Lloyd Davidson of Chatham. Mr. Barwell was employed for 57 years prior to retirement at the former PW Gardiner and Company, he was a member and life deacon of Avenue Road Baptist Church. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street Cambridge where friends may call on Sunday and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Avenue Road Baptist Church 465 Avenue Road Cambridge on Tuesday, January 17th 1989 at 2 p.m. with Reverend W.N. Hooper officiating. Interment Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Avenue Road Baptist Church Memorial Fund or Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
