- HEER, Clarence Edwin
It has pleased God in his grace to take the life of our beloved husband, father, grand and great-grandfather, Clarence. Born in Waterloo on February 18. 1910. he was a lifelong resident of Kitchener-Waterloo. In 1955, he founded Heer's Decorating and Design Centres to realize a life-long dream. Clarence married the former Mary Snyder 61 years ago. He was the loving father of Marilyn and her husband Al Forler of Kitchener, Bob and his wife Jerilynn of Waterloo; proud grandfather of Anne Forler, Steven Forler. Michelle Maue and her husband Mark. Melanie Davis and her husband Andrew; great-grandfather to Mason and Taylor Maue. Also survived by one brother, Wilfred (Bill) Heer, wife Dorothy and sister, Dorothy Cressman. Predeceased by brothers, Harold. Herb, Edgar and sister, Hilda Thomas. Clarence will be remembered fondly by brother-in-law, Ward Snyder of Lake Forest, Calif. Clarence was a faithful member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, serving as a church councillor, choir member and Sunday School teacher. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, Ontario, on Monday, March 1, 1999 (tonight) from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral services will be held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 248 Highland Rd. E., Kitchener at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, March 3, 1999.
