  FISHER, Edward - At the Freeport Hospital, Friday, April 7, 1978, following a lengthy illness, Edward Fisher of 809 Belmont Ave. West, , Kitchener, aged 87 years. A member of Emmanuel United Church, Waterloo. Mr. Fisher was a well-known sportsman in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and was one of the six original members who formed the Kitchener-Waterloo Rod and Gun Club. He was also a member of the Wilmot Rod and Gun Club. For 40 years, he was a prominent taxidermist in the Kitchener-Waterloo area with his work shown across Canada and the United States. Husband of Margaret Krauth; father of Frank of Kitchener, Lloyd of Minnesota and Helen (Mrs. Richard Gervais) of Durham; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive. He was predeceased by one son, Harold Edward, and one grandson, Harry James. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, where the funeral and committal service will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Richard Moffatt officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery. Memorial contributions as expressions of sympathy may be made to Emmanual United Church Outreach Program.
