- FLAHERTY, Edward - Passed away at Golden Years Nursing Home, Cambridge, on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the age of 90. Loving husband of the late Ellen Flaherty (nee Hodkin). Beloved father of Peter Flaherty and Kay Keachie (William). Cherished grandfather of Karin Chapman and great-grandfather of Emma-Leigh Gouthro. Edward is survived by his sister, Edna Hubert as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings, Clarence, John, Anna, Catherine, Helen, Carmel, Margaret and Mary. He served with the RCAF Squadron 401 during the Second World War. A service to celebrate Edward's life will be held in the chapel at Corbett Funeral Home , 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, on Friday, June 13, 2008, at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. In Edward's memory, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Lung Association.
