  Mrs. John Ertel, 89, of Elmira died on Tuesday Jan. 24 at St. Joseph's Hospital, London after a short illness. She was the former Caroline Grawey and was born at Hawkesville, Ontario, July 29, 1877. She was a member of St. Theresa's RC Church Elmira and an honorary member of the CWL. Her husband died in 1942. Surviving are 3 sons, Arthur of Galt; Kenneth of Toronto; and Lorne of Port Stanley. Six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Flo) Leader of Guelph; Mrs. Thelma golden of Elmira; Mrs. Ruby Mougenal of Toronto; Mrs. Robert (Cora) Hall of Miami, Fla.; Mrs. John (Kay) Wismer of Toronto; Mrs. Harold (Mary) Hallman of London. Two sister, Mrs. Marie Smith of Detroit; Mrs. Barbara Diehl of California. There are 25 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Two sons, two daughters, and one sister predeceased Mrs. Ertel. The body is at the Dreisinger Funeral parlor, Elmira, until Thursday morning. Prayers at 10: 30 thence to St. Theresa's RC Church for requiem mass at 11 am. Burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Rev. A.J.
