  David B. Horst, "born August 20th, 1873." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ___________________________ Horst, David B., son of Samuel M. and Magdalena (Brubacher) Horst, was born near Rodney, Ont., August, 1873; died June 6, 1965, in his 92nd year after spending nearly 12 years in the K-W Hospital, Kitchener, Ont. On March 15, 1898, he was married to Mary G. Martin, who preceded him in death in 1934. Surviving are 5 sons (John, Isaac, Levi, Samuel, and Henry), 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one brother (Menno). Three brothers and 3 sisters preceded him in death. He was a member of the Wisler Mennonite Church, where he served many years as a deacon. Interment was made in the Conestoga Church Cemetery, St. Jacobs, Ont.
