  HILL, M. Marjorie (nee Sallans) - Peacefully passed away, to be with the Lord, after a lengthy illness, at Welland Hospital, on August 13, 2005, at the age of 72. Loving wife of Kenneth Hill for 49 years; cherished mother to Mark Hill of Wainfleet, Deborah and Neal Roberts of St. Catharines and Luke Hill and Gwen Thompson of Lanark County. Dear grandmother to Andrew and Victoria Roberts. Survived by sisters, Annie Cober (Wilbert) and Audrey Huber of Kitchener, sisters-in-law, Edna Minor (Harold) of Crystal Beach, Miriam Sallans of Kitchener and Nellie Switzer (Bruce) of Corbyville; as well as mother-in-law, Fern Hill of Crystal Beach. Predeceased by her parents, James and Lucy Sallans; sister, Dora Bingeman and brothers, Harvey, Mike, Willard and Simon Sallans. Marjorie will be sadly missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Born February 10, 1933 in Kitchener, Marjorie moved to the Niagara area in 1956 with her husband, Ken. Marjorie was an active member of the Port Colborne Brethren in Christ Church and served others in many ways over the years. Marjorie was the manager of the Port Gift 'n Thrift Store from 1988- 1997. The family received friends at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne, from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, August 15. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 16, at the Port Colborne Brethren in Christ Church (Hwy #3 West) at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Wainfleet.
