    • SOLOMON KIRCH

      Solomon Kirch, 79, Conestogo died in K-W Hospital after a brief illness.

      Mr. Kirch was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kirch. He was born in Conestogo Feb. 8, 1882, and spent all his life in this area. He was a teamster in his early life and later a road patrolman for the county.

      He was a life member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church.

      Surviving are his wife, the former Erma Mann, whom he married in 1946; five sons, Harry, Bridgeport; Edward, Kitchener; Arthur and Solomon Jr., Conestogo, and Lloyd, Elmira; four daughters, Mrs. John (Edna) MacDonald and Mrs. George (Freda) Uhrig, both of Conestogo; Mrs. Reginald Burnett, Palmerston, and Mrs. Allan (Mildred) Farr, Guelph; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Goetz, Kitchener, 32 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

      His first wife died in 1940 and a daughter died in 1936.

      The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until Monday when it was taken to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Conestogo, for service conducted by Rev. Adolph Kappes. Burial was in the church cemetery.
