    • KAY / HAGEY, Elsie (nee Lucas) Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 94 years of age. Beloved and revered wife of the late Reuben Kay, and loving step-mother to Catherine Thompson and Sandra (Doug) Corbett of Burlington. Much cherished grand- mother and great-grandmother to Kimberley and Cate Thompson. Treasured by her sister, Audrey Stevens of Toronto, her nieces, Linda Smith and Andrea Stevens Lavigne, and her nephews, Grant and Wayne Lucas. Loving wife of the late Harry Hagey and caring step-mother to Doug (Sue) Hagey and Mary Ellen Hagey. Predeceased by her brother, Mel Lucas and her parents, Stanley and Lily Lucas. Elsie will be sadly missed by her many friends, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews. Elsie was a lifelong and active member of the King Street Baptist Church. Elsie always had a song in her heart and a smile on her face. She will be missed. Resting at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) where friends and family will receive visitors on Tuesday, April 19th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held at King Street Baptist Church, 361 King Street East, Cambridge on Wednesday, April 20th at 1 p.m. Elsie supported many charities in the community and across the world. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be much appreciated by the family. The family would like to express their appreciation for the kindness and dedication of those who cared for Elsie at Fairview Mennonite Suites and CMH. Special thanks to CMH staff Maria Boyes, Nancy Burnett and Cara Renner for taking extra care of our "cute little button".
