  Mrs. R. P. Scott Mrs. Robert P. Scott, a former resident of Ayr, passed away in Guelph on Sunday aged 78 years. She had been ill about eight months. Mrs. Scott, whose maiden name was Maggie Kyle, was born in Drumbo, being a daughter of Walter Kyle and Jane Cullen. After her marriage she came to Ayr to reside, where she made many warm friends. While here she was a member of Knox United Church. Upon the death of her husband, she returned to Drumbo for a few years, after which she went to Guelph to reside with her daughter: Mrs. William Clements (Hazel) and Mr. Clements. Surviving are one son, Walter, in Maine; a daughter, Mrs. Clements, Guelph, and a brother, John C. Kyle, Ayr. The funeral took place from Guelph on Tuesday afternoon, with interment being made in Ayr Cemetery. Many Ayr friends were in attendance. The Ayr News May 19 1949 pg 24
