  Mrs. Elizabeth Matheson AYR, Jan. 24. A well-known Ayr resident, Miss Elizabeth Matheson, 83, died at Galt General Hospital, yesterday, following a short illness. For many years she was engaged in dressmaking. Her birthplace was at Canning and she had lived in this vicinity all her life, in the home maintained by her brother, Alex, and sister, Georgina, now deceased. She was a Presbyterian by faith. Sole survivor is a sister, Mrs. Benjamin Crittenden of Gienavon, Sask. The funeral will be held at the residence, Northumberland St. tomorrow afternoon, at 3: 45.
