  Mrs. Audrey Baxter Passes Mrs. Audrey Baxter of West Hill passed away Friday, May 11th in Scarborough Centenary Hospital. She was in her 87th year. Born in Blenheim Township, she was the only daughter of George and Mary Landreth. When she was young, she moved into Ayr with her parents and spent most of her life in Ayr and vicinity. The past 23 years had been spent in Brantford and later in West Hill. A member of Knox United Church, Ayr, Mrs. Baxter took great interest in the work of the church. She was a life member of the Women's Missionary Society (now the U.C.W.). Mrs. Baxter was predeceased by her husband, Hugh McIntyre Baxter many years ago. Also predeceased by infant daughter Mary Isabelle; son Richard Landreth Baxter; and daughter Marion (Mrs. Spencer Elmes). Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Beth) Jarman of West Hill and five grandchildren, Valerie and Carol Jarman, Keith, Hugh and Neil Elmes. Rested at the William Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, until Monday, when funeral service was held at Knox United Church, Ayr. Rev. D. E. Willis officiated. Interment in Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hugh and David Baxter, Richard Kennedy, Mac Ross, Jim Boland and Hugh Maus. The Ayr News May 17 1973 pg 2
