  Death of Miss Jeannie Morton - Died, in Ayr, on Tuesday, May 18th, 1922, at 9:15 pm, Jeannie Morton, in her 70th year. Deceased had been ill for about a year, and her death was not unlooked for though to her wide circle of relatives and friends the transition came with a shock. She was born in North Dumfries, but had lived in Ayr for about 22 years. A faithful member of Knox Church for the greater part of her life, (next line not legible) special interest in the Missionary Society. Two brothers, Robert, North Dumfries, James, South Dumfries, and three sisters, Jessie, Catherine and Christena, all of Ayr, survive. The funeral will take place from her late residence, Elliott Street, on Friday, May 19, at 2:30 pm, for interment in the Ayr Cemetery.
