- Funeral of Albert Crow
The funeral of the late Richard Albert Crow, who was …?... on Sunday evening, July 8th, in Woodhouse Township, took place from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Judson Austin on Wednesday afternoon of last week at 1.30 o'clock, thence to Ayr Cemetery by motor. The large number of friends and relatives present, as well as the many beautiful floral tributes, gave evidence of the high esteem n which deceased was held. Rev. A. S. Trueblood, pastor of Mt. Zion United Church, officiated at the house, and several members of the Mt. Zion choir assisted in the singing. Mr. Harry Stuart sand a solo in a very sympathetic manner. On arrival of the funeral cortege at Ayr Cemetery many more friends and relatives were in attendance for the service. Rev. Mr. Watt officiated. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Robert and Harry Austin, James Blake, David Steinhoff, S. Burch and D. Misner. Among the floral tributes were wreaths from neighbors, large spray from Mr. Zion United Sunday School, wreath from C company, Norfolk Rifles. Among those in attendance from a distance were Miss Kathleen Crow, Wisconsin, U.S.A.; Miss West, Pt. Burwell; Mr. Albert Crow, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. J.G. Johnston, Mr. J. J. Johnston and Mrs. Wood, all of Chatham; and Mrs. Oatman and Mr. Alex Butcher, St. George.
