Mrs. Mary Detweiler
Mrs. Mary Detwiler, widow of Noah B. Detwiler, former Kitchener shoe manufacturer, died at Winnipeg Saturday following a lengthy illness. Deceased had resided with her daughter in Winnipeg for number of years.
Born in this city 88 years ago, May 9, 1859, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Y. Shantz.
She is survived by one son, Dr. E. S. Detwiler, London, and one daughter, Mrs. M. C. Herner; Winnipeg, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. One sister, Miss Ida Shantz of this city, also survives her.
The funeral will be held from the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home 5 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. E. Gingerich, pastor of Alma Street United Brethren Church, will conduct the services. Burial will take place in the First Mennonite Cemetery. The body will arrive here Wednesday noon.
