  Mrs. W. E. Gammon Had Lived in Ayr fora Period of 55 Years Mrs. W. E. Gammon, one of the oldest residents of the village, died suddenly at her home on Walter street on Saturday, Feb. 6th, in her 83rd year. She had been in failing health for the past few years. Mrs. Gammon was born in the township of Blenheim. a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Bass. After her marriage to Mr. Gammon 55 years ago, they moved to Ayr. Mrs. Gammon was an active worker in the former Methodist Church and later a member of Knox United Church. Surviving are her husband and three children: Mrs. R. H. Milllkin, Trenton ; Mrs. C. W. Hoffman, Plattsville, and Clifford Gammon, London. One sister, Charlotte, and a brother, John, also survive. The Funeral The funeral, was held from the family residence on Tuesday, Feb. 9, with Rev. J. W. Currie conducting the services. The pallbearers were: R. Schlichter, Kitchener ; Edward Whitson, Thomas Easton, J. W. Currie, H. C. Elliott and CL S. Dalrymple.
