  Mrs. Robert Barnett - The death occurred in Galt Hospital on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd, at 9 o'clock p.m. of Mrs. Robert Barnett of Ayr, aged 65 years, 5 months and 8 days. Deceased, whose maiden name was Eliza Jane Townley, had been ill for a year or more, and her demise was not unexpected. She was born in Blenheim township, and came to Ayr with her husband about 25 years ago. She was a member of the former Methodist Church, and took a great interest in church work. Besides her sorrowing husband, she is survived by one daughter, Mabel, and one son, Percy, both of Ayr. A brother, James Townley, Galt, and a sister, Mrs. W. Rowell, Innerkip, also survive. The funeral, which was well attended, took place to the Ayr Cemetery on Saturday afternoon, the services being in charge of Rev. J. W. Currie. The Ayr News Mar 1 1928 pg 1
