  Percy Barnett Passes The death occurred in Hamilton General Hospital early this (Wednesday) morning of Percy Barnett aged 58 years. He had undergone major surgery seven weeks ago and later developed complications. Born in Innerkip, he was the son of the late Robert Barnett and Eliza Jane Townley. He came to Ayr with the family 57 years ago where he had resided since. Mr. Barnett was an industrial worker, and latterly had been employed on the village street department. His kindly disposition and even temper won him many friends who will regret his passing. He was a member of the former Methodist Church here and following union, of Knox United Church. In his youth he was a member of the Tuxis Boys, a Methodist Church group. He is survived by a sister Mabel. The Funeral Funeral service will be held or Saturday at 2.30 p.m., at the Funeral Parlor. Conducted by Rev W. J. V. Buchanan. Interment will be made in Ayr Cemetery. The Ayr News May 5 1960 pg 2
