Notes |
- James Pipe - The death occurred on Saturday evening at his residence, about two miles northeast of Wolverton, of James Pipe, in his 67th year Deceased had been ill
during the better part of the past winter but was rapidly regaining his health and feeling much better, so that sudden passing was a great shock to his family. He was resting quietly on a couch just after tea when he suddenly expired, heart trouble being given as the cause of his demise. Mr. Pipe was born and had spent all his days on the farm on which he died, and was consequently well known and greatly esteemed by a large acquaintanceship. In religion he was a member of the United Church. He was married
twenty-three years ago to Annie Catherine Knechtel of Galt, who, along with the
following family, survives him: Albert, Ida and Elston, all at home. Two sisters also survive as follows: Miss Sarah Pipe, Galt, and Miss A. Pipe, Brussells. The funeral, which was private, took place to Ayr cemetery on Tuesday afternoon, the services being in charge of Rev. John Richardson of Drumbo.
