- Edward Knellar - The death occurred at his home here early Sunday morning of Edward Knellar, aged 85, following an illness of about three weeks. Born at Kingsomborne, England, the late Mr. Knellar came to Ayr from England about 50 years ago. He worked as a farmhand in this vicinity for many years. He was interested in gardening. In religion he was a Methodist. Surviving are: a brother, Thomas and a sister, Mrs. Charles Barrett, both of Southampton, England; two step-daughters, Miss Kate Waterman, of Ayr, and Mrs. Grace Bechthold, of Paris; one step-son, William Waterman, Hamilton. The funeral, private, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock, with service at his home and interment in the Ayr Cemetery.
