- WEBER, HARRY ARTHUR WO2(AG) R116719. From Kitchener, Ontario. Killed In Action Oct.22/43 age 23. #77 Squadron (Esse Potius Quam Videri). Halifax aircraft # JD 121 was shot down over the target Kassel, Germany. F/O.S J.S. Barber (RAF), E.R. Price (RAF), Sgt.s V.H. Bames (RAF), R.O. Hand (RAF), J. Pretsell (RAF), (.M. Smith (RAF), D.W. Stribley (RAF), and FS. S.A. Richardson (RAF) were also killed. Sgt. Weber had been shot down into the sea eighty miles north west of Cape Finisterre on May 17, 1943. The complete crew of the #10 OTU Whitley aircraft survived the crash and were interned in Spain arriving back in the United Kingdom on June 6, 1943. Warrant Officer Class II Air Gunner Weber is buried in the Limmer British Cemetery at Hanover, Germany.
