  Mary Ann Shantz, "twin sister to Jacob E., was born April 27th, 1855. She was married to Isaac C. Snyder, a carpenter." Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. _____________________ Snyder - On the 24th of June, 1898, at Berlin, Waterloo Co., Ont., Mary Ann Shantz, beloved wife of Isaac C. Snyder, aged 43 years, 1 month and 27 days. Sister Snyder leaves a sorrowing husband and six children, the youngest about 7 years old; two children preceded her to the spirit world; also parents, six brothers, three sisters and many friends, who will miss her at her household duties and in the church services. She was resigned to the will of God and was willing to go at the Master's call. Buried on the 20th at C. Eby's meeting house. Services by S. Bowman in German and N.
