    • Moses E. Shantz, "was born May 21st, 1857. On December 12th, 1882, he was married to Magdalena Betzner who was born January 1st, 1861. They reside on the old 'Moses Schneider Place' where he is engaged in farming. Their family consists of four children"

      Moses E. Shantz, 76 years of age, pioneer setter of the Didsbury district, died in a Calgary nursing home on Saturday, February 10.
      He was born near Kitchener, Ont., and came to Didsbury in 1900, where he resided until 1933. Since then he had lived with his children.
      Deceased is survived by his wife Magdalena; one daughter, Mrs. Ed. Weber, Calgary. Three sons; Lincoln, Kitchener, Ont.; Clayton, Rosebud, Alta.; Vernon, High River, Alta. Four brothers; Aaron, Samuel and Daniel, Kitchener, Ont., and Frank, Wenatchee, Wash. One sister, Mrs. M. Bowman, Kitchener, Ont.
