- Death of Mrs. Buschlen - An old and highly respected resident of New Hamburg passed away on Tuesday evening, the 16th inst., in the person of Mary Buschlen, nee Yagge, relict of the late Peter Buschlen, after an illness of six days, following a paralytic stroke. She reached the advanced age of 31 years, 2 months and 6 days. The late Mrs. Buschlen was born in South Easthope. She was married on January 18th, 1859 to the late Peter Buschlen, who predeceased her 31 years ago. For many years she resided on a farm two and a half miles west of New Hamburg and moved to this town about 17 years ago. She was a faithful and devout adherent of the Evangelical church and was highly esteemed by a wide circle of friends. She leaves to mourn her loss six sons, two daughters, six daughters-in-law, two sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. The children are: Simeon, of Snover, Mich; Henry, of Long Beach, Calif., Levi, Pigeon, Mich.; Aaron, Dearborn, Mich.; Ezra, Toledo, Ohio; Amos, Carstairs, Alberta; Mrs. August Siebert, Canada, Kansas, and Mrs. C. B. Otto, Pigeon, Mich. One son Jacob died 7 years ago. The sisters are Miss Anna Yagge, New Hamburg, and Mrs. Chr. Siebert, in Florida. The funeral will be held from her late residence on Jacob Street, at 1.30 o'clock p. m., this Friday afternoon to the Evangelical Church for service, thence to Lingelbach's cemetery. All her children, excepting one son, Henry, of California, are here for the funeral.
