      Died Suddenly At Elora

The death took place very suddenly at Elora last Friday of Mr. George W. Edmonds, of this town, from an attack of acute indigestion. The news of his sudden death was received with deep regret among his many friends in town. The late George Wyburn Edmonds, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Edmonds, of Alliston, Ont., was born in Alliston on June 21st, 1881. After receiving his early education in the public school of that town he attended the Toronto University for three years, and graduating in 1902 he went west. For a number of years he was in the drug business in Okotoks, Alberta, later taking up the real estate business in Calgary. Always having a deep interest in sports of all kinds, he was a member of the lacrosse and hockey associations of that city for a number of years. He was a member of the Masonic lodge and an active member of the Anglican Church all his life.

Since residing in New Hamburg he was manager of the McCallum Drug Store for a time and was later connected with the Nith Valley Laboratories. At the time of his death he was manager of the Elora drugstore. The funeral took place from his late home here on Monday morning to St. George's Church followed by interment in the family plot in Alliston. He leaves a wife and one son, George, to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. A. Aikena, of Springfield, Ohio, and two brothers, Mr. L. Edmonds, of Alliston, Mr. Frank Edmonds, of Calgary. Alberta.
