  Addison Rickert Addison Rickert of 247 Franklin Ave. N. died at home Saturday July 19, after a lengthy illness. He was 85. Born in Mannheim March 30, 1884, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus B. Rickert, he farmed in the Mannheim area and later was employed by Ball Brothers Ltd. contractors. Following his retirement he moved to New Dundee and later to Kitchener. He was married to the former Edith Cressman, who predeceased him in 1953. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, New Dundee. Survivors include three sons, Clare, Conestogo, Walter, New Dundee, and Ross, Waterloo; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Beatrice) Jacob and Mrs. Elmer (Doris) Jacob, both of New Dundee; three brothers, Harvey and Lloyd, both of Kitchener, and Sidney, Windsor; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister. The body was at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Tuesday. Rev. Delton J. Glebe conducted the service at St. James Church, New Dundee at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Burial was in Union cemetery, New Dundee. Donations to the St. James Church building fund were accepted as expressions of sympathy. New Hamburg Independent, July 23, 1969
