      Funeral service was held on Saturday at 2 at Barthel-Stager Funeral Home in Cambridge for Mr. Howitt of 339 Bishop St. in Cambridge, who died on Thursday, May 1, 1980 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. He was 87 years old. Mr. Howitt was born in Morriston but had lived all his life in Cambridge. He was retired from Preston Woodworking and Machinery Company. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church. Mr. Howitt was a veteran of World War I. Surviving is one brother, Alfred of Toronto. Predeceased by two sisters, Annie Lee and Helen, wives of the late Alan Kerr. Burial in Preston Cemetery.
