- Archibald Aitken
Archibald Aitken of 80 Burbank Rd. died Wednesday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was 75.
Mr. Aitken was born at Udston, Scotland. Sept. 6, 1893 and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Aitken. He lived in the Twin Cities for 43 years. Mr. Aitken worked for J. M. Schneider Ltd. for 27 years and retired in 1963. He served overseas with the 51st Division during the First World War and was a member of the Ex-Servicemen's Club, the Royal Canadian Legion. Branch 50 and the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Surviving are his wife, the former Louise Hamilton; one son. Archibald, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Nicholas (Phyllis) Schmidt of Kitchener, Mrs. Joseph (Barbara) Lederman of Plattsville, and Marjorie, at home, and seven grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of the family and was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services were held at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home on Friday, Rev. Paul Zacharias officiating.
Interment was in Woodland cemetery.
