  Elsie Anderson August 24 1914 - January 4, 2014 It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Elsa (Elsie) Anderson. Elsie was born on August 24 1914 in Berlin (Kitchener) to Albert Marquardt and Ernestine Lorenz. She was lovingly called Elsie by her friends and family. Sister to William, Richard, Wilfred, Emma and Ann. Married to Roswell Anderson (deceased), survived by Joan (Dave) Jerry and Jim (Debbie). Grandmother to Jan (Jack), Barb, Rodney (deceased, was married to Theresa), Joanne (Phil) David (Theresa), Catherine (Ray), John (Jo-Ann) Jessica and Erin. Great Granny to Adam, Dylan, Jane, Brittany, Brooke, Marley, Tala, Stephanie, Beth (Eric) Jessie (Dave). Great Great Granny to Neveah, Noah, Connor and Emma. Family fondly remembers Mom/Granny's strength, independence and sense of humour up until the very end. At 99 years old Elsie still loved to read and watch her "boys" the Toronto Blue Jays. An avid card player (solo, euchre and cribbage) Elsie went weekly to play up until the age of 98. Family thanks the doctors and nurses at GRH for their care. And to the staff at Doon Village for taking such good care of Elsie for the past 5 years. A service to celebrate Elsie's life will be held at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home 621 King Street West, Kitchener ON N2G 1C7 on Monday January 6, 2013 with visitation from 11: 00 am. \endash 12: 00 pm. Service to follow at 12 pm. with a reception after the service in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
