    • WILLIAM J. MAIN

      William J. Main, 77, of 54 Betzner Ave., Kitchener, died suddenly Wednesday, May 28, at his residence. He was born August 19, 1874, in Elora, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Main. His wife was the former Minnie May Strange. Their marriage; took place January 28, 1908, in Elmira.

      A carpenter in the city for many years, he was a member of the Elmira Lodge of the 1.O.O.F., the Trinity United Church, the Twin City Lodge A.F. and A.M., the Royal City Lodge of Perfection, the Guelph Chapter Rose Croix, Moore Consistory, Hamilton, and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a member of Brilliant Rebecca Lodge.

      Besides his wife, he is survived by two brothers, James of Elmira and Charles of Carman, Man. One daughter, Lillian, predeceased him in infancy.

      Funeral services were held Saturday at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home at 2 p.m. and interment was in the Union Cemetery, Elmira. Rev. O. P. Hossie officiated and the body was at the funeral home.
